2014 Marylhurst Pinot Noir
The Marylhurst is a blend of the estate's older and younger vines and tends to be brighter and more fruit forward. The 2014 is extremely approachable and food friendly, showing black cherry coupled with an earthy nose.

Barrel Regimen: 18 months in neutral oak
Block A was planted in 1999, and contains 3.6 acres of Dijon clone 114 fruit. Clone 114 is the most widely planted of the Dijon clones, and yields flavors of pomegranate, blueberry, mineral, cola, and spice, with a medium to full body and moderate tannins. Block A has an elevation of 840 feet.
Block G was planted in 2005, and contains 4.1 acres of Dijon 777 clone fruit. Clone 777 yields flavors of black cherry, cassis, blackberry, licorice, and sometimes leather or tobacco, with a full body and medium tannins. The 777 section of Block G has an elevation of 720-780 feet.

Our 42-acre, LIVE certified sustainable vineyard rests atop the storied Dundee Hills in Dayton, Ore. We are nestled between Domaine Serene to the East and stunning Valley views to the West, thirty-five miles southwest of Portland. Our vines occupy some of the most sought-after terrain in the region.
The resident Jory soil is brick-red in color and dense with nutrients. Its exceptional draining capacity is ideal for the area's many wet months. While half of our acreage is used for the Vista Hills label, the remaining fruit is sold to a host of local producers including Dobbes Estate, Adelsheim Vineyard, Le Cadeau, White Rose Wines and Elizabeth Chambers Cellar.
